Just a three-hour drive from Kigali, Volcanoes National Park encompasses 160 km2 (60mi2) in a rich mosaic of montane ecosystems, with evergreen and bamboo forests. Essential information

If you pick this trip, you should get an East African Visa which covers both entry into Kenya and Rwanda. You need to have a 24-hour-old negative PCR test result prior to going for the gorilla trek. Please make sure to get one in enough time prior to the trek. You don't need to show a CV-19 certificate or a negative test for entry into Rwanda. The price covers accommodation, all meals, gorilla trek license ($1500 per person), golden monkey trek ($100 per person), return flights from Nairobi to Kigali, road transfer from Kigali to the lodge and to the Volcanoes Park.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1

Arrive at Kigali airport. Get your PCR tests there. You will then be picked up at the airport by a Safari guide and driven straight to your lodge at Volcanoes National Park. The drive is around 3 hours. Arrive at the lodge, check in, and have lunch, then you can pick from a host of activities such as canoeing and cycling or just have a swim. Have dinner later on. Make sure to have your PCR test results with you for the next day's gorilla trek.
