Loita Forest Odyssey

Walk along ancient trails left by the Maasai over hundreds of years, guests get to experience the African bush in a different and more fulfilling way than any other safari. The local Maasai from the Loita area, are eager to share their customs and culture.

Drive out to Loita Hills, about 5 hour drive from Nairobi. Meet the guide in the agreed location. Drive out to the forest. Start your hike up to the first campsite atop a hill.

Wake up to stunning views, make breakfast, and begin your trek for the day alongside Maasai guides. You will learn about their culture, the different plants in the forest, and their medicinal use. The treks each day last around 4 - 5 hours. Donkeys are used to carry luggage for the trek.

Trek to the last point and the cars will meet you there. Drive back to Nairobi.
